Nedbank Zimbabwe has appointed Betty Murambadoro as its new managing director, taking over from Sibongile Moyo, who stepped down in January.
Murambadoro brings extensive experience in the banking sector, having held senior leadership roles across corporate banking, investment banking and client coverage, particularly within the mining sector.
Betty is the third successive female MD for Nedbank. She was Stanbic CIB Director.
Her appointment comes at a time when the financial institution is navigating a dynamic operating environment and seeking to strengthen its market position through strategic leadership and sector-focused expertise.
Industry observers say her background in mining finance and corporate banking could play a key role in deepening Nedbank Zimbabwe's engagement with key productive sectors of the economy.
The bank has not disclosed further details regarding its strategic direction under the new leadership, but the transition is expected to ensure continuity while positioning the institution for growth.
