VACANCY - MSFH-Gokwe North Project Medical Doctor

MSF-Holland, an international humanitarian medical organisation, is looking for a Medical Doctor for it's Gokwe North Project. The contract will be for 2 months period.

Smmmiry description of the responsibilities/activities:

- Assess all HIV positive patients and TB patients and when necessary refer them to the appropriate services.
- Clinically assess all HIV and TB patients, including full examination of the patient, and prescribe the appropriate treatment according to MoH and MSF guidelines.
- Assess patients for OI infections including full examination and treat accordingly as per guidelines.
- Assess patients for ARV treatment and request baseline laboratory tests as per protocol.
- Initiate ARV treatment when indicated and follow the patients as per follow up principles
- Provide medical and psychological care to SGBV survivors and their families - Plan and coordinate SGBV care as per protocol and in liaison with the medical doctor
- Together with the other members of the medical mobile team provide comprehensive HIV and TB diagnostics, care and treatment to the target population.
- To provide on the job training and mentoring to MoH staff in comprehensive HIV and TB diagnostics, care and treatment.

Essential requirements:
- Full and current registration as medical officer with the MoH and at least 2 years' post-registration (clinical) experience
- Previous experience and training in HIVcomprehensive care, OI and ARV treatment
- Ability to uphold medical ethics in MSF medical/health programs
- Knowledge and belief in advocacy role of MSF
- Strong social/communication skills: representative, stimulating and diplomatic
- Good command in English and Shona; Ndebele is an asset
- Management skills
- Flexible and Good in Report writing.
