Pan-African pay-television network Kwese TV has launched its satellite broadcasting service in Gaborone, reports Mmegi. Kwese Free Sport was first introduced to viewers in Botswana in March but now the broadcaster is now extending its presence in the country by bringing the complete Kwese TV service to the audience.

Marketing and public relations manager Shadi Linchwe said it is providing premium entertainment, international and African series, children's channels, up to-the-minute news and something for the entire family.

Kwese's multi-platform service is available via linear TV, mobile and digital broadcasting, through free-to-air TV, mobile, web streaming and satellite TV, she said. Linchwe said the broadcaster would make its premium content accessible to viewers for a BWP 295 monthly subscription, and a fee of BWP 510 for a decoder, dish kit and standard installation fee.

She said the children's content includes the channel 'Toonami' from Turner, popular animation series and films from NBC Universal International Network’s DreamWorks, pre-school channel 'CBeebies', and five other children's channels.
