ZIMBABWE'S main postal services provider, Zimpost, has rebranded and unveiled new products and services along with a fresh logo.

The new logo, products and services were unveiled at this year's Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF), which was held in Bulawayo from April 24 to 28. The products and services include ZimpostMall, an online platform where anyone can buy or sell goods.

In a statement, Zimpost said it was going digital and moving its services to electronic platforms.

"Zimpost is opening a new leaf by digitising and migrating its services to mobile and e-platforms. In line with this, we will be unveiling a new logo that speaks to this new business thrust.

"Zimpost has evolved over time from being a provider of predominately manual and low technology services to an entity that offers a wide range of technology driven services," read the statement.

Zimpost also unveiled Virtual Post Office, "an online portal that allows the customer to tour the post office and make online transactions", as well as PostInsurance, a pool of affordable and exciting insurance products underwritten and supported by renowned insurance companies in Zimbabwe.

Zimpost is wholly owned by the Government of Zimbabwe. It was licensed under the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe in accordance with the provisions of the Postal and Telecommunications Act (Chapter 12:05) of 2000.

It has a post office network of more than 230 outlets spread throughout the country and it envisages delivering world class services to Zimbabwe by year 2022.
