DATA usage increased by 89,8 percent to 15,4 million megabytes (MB) in 2017 from 8,1 million MB in 2016, the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (POTRAZ) has revealed.

POTRAZ director economic, traffic and competition Hildah Mutseyekwa said the increase translates to a 136 percent growth since 2009.

Mutseyekwa said, during an Internet Governance Roundtable Conference organised by the MISA-Zimbabwe, the internet and data usage growth comes at a time when active internet subscriptions have also increased to over 6,9 million in 2017 with 6,8 million using mobile internet.
