Celsys CFO steps down

CELSYS LIMITED has announced that Miss Chido Maunze resigned as chief finance officer and director of the company with effect from April 2013. She was appointed CFO of Celsys in September 2010.

According to Celsys, Miss Maunze indicated that she felt she had accomplished the task that she set out to do.

"I would now like to broaden my horizons and gain further experience in other industries within Zimbabwe," added Miss Maunze.

Miss Maunze will remain with the company until June 28, 2013 as further announcements regarding Miss Maunze's replacement will be made in due course.

She holds a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from the University of Zimbabwe and is a chartered accountant.

Miss Maunze completed her articles with Deloitte (Zimbabwe) in 2005.

She gained valuable experience from assignments with Deloitte in the United States of America before returning to Zimbabwe in 2009.

"The board would like to thank Miss Maunze for her tremendous effort and wish her well in her future endeavours," said the company.

Zimbabwe-focused conglomerate Cambria Africa that owns Celsys said that it continues to engage the ZSE with regard to the proposed listing of Celsys into the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange.

"We note further plans that are underway to reverse list Cambria into Celsys on the ZSE. We believe this to be value adding as it will add both visibility and liquidity to the company."
