DEPOT CONTROLLER (E)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the above position that has arisen at Hwange DBC.

THE JOB
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful applicant will be, among other key challenging aspects, responsible for:
- Controlling all DBC operations within authorized budgets.
- Accounting for all inventory management issues, including stock reconciliations and stock management systems and practices.
- Managing the operation to set productivity standards for both Distribution and the Warehouse resources.
- Planning and executing the distribution of Lagers and SBs in a manner that will achieve the overall Sales objective at minimum cost.
- Managing the operation to meet/exceed customer service expectations.
- Producing accurate data and reports timeously.
- Managing human resources issues at the DBC in liaison with the Operations Manager.
- Managing the operation within the set financial budget.
- Developing and motivating staff.
- Ensuring that SOPs and standard housekeeping are maintained.
- Maintaining good team working within and between DBC, Sales and other suppliers and customers.

THE PERSON
The ideal applicant should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Degree/Diploma in Business Studies/Economics/Operations research, Accounting or equivalent.
- 3 years' experience in Warehousing and Distribution environment at supervisory level.
- Knowledge of Basis II, Syspro a must.
- Self-starter/innovator with good flair for figures.
- Good leadership, supervisory and communication skills.
- An analytical and enquiring mind is required.
- Demonstrate ability to resolve work related problems.
- Knowledge of the ISO systems.
