Speaking on the sidelines of the workshop, the ZIMRA Commissioner General Ms Faith Mazani said the most important operational objective of bilateral tax treaties is the elimination of double taxation that has adverse effects of discouraging trade and investment that put an extra cost on business.

She also reiterated that the seminar will provide participants with common understanding of the basic issues of international taxation as contained in existing international model conventions.
