An InDrive driver, Gabriel Chivanga, 36, lost his employer's car during a robbery in Mufakose on Tuesday. The vehicle, a blue Toyota Aqua (AFW 7542), belongs to Molline Manyati, 31, of Tynwald.

Police reports indicate that Chivanga received a call from a man claiming to hire the car from Mukonono Road in Mufakose to Budiriro. Upon arrival, three men joined the ride—one in the front passenger seat and three in the back.

The incident escalated when one back-seat passenger requested to be dropped off. At that point, Chivanga was sprayed in the face with pepper spray, pushed out of the car, and the robbers sped off with the vehicle.

Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector Luckmore Chakanza confirmed the robbery, stating that the total value of the stolen items, including the car and a cell phone connected to the vehicle's tracking system, is US$6,580.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
