Minute Maid has launched a "Tollgate Happy Hour" activation offering free highway passage and refreshments to motorists travelling during the 2026 Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF).

The campaign, run in partnership with the Zimbabwe National Road Administration (ZINARA), will see the brand sponsor 500 light motor vehicle passes at the Ntabazinduna Tollgate.

The promotion is scheduled for Sunday, April 19, and Sunday, April 26, between 9am and 11am, targeting one of the busiest travel periods on Zimbabwe's roads.

Motorists will receive complimentary toll access along with samples of Minute Maid beverages, including Pulpy, Orange, Tropical, Apple Grape and Guava flavours.

Faith Nehanda, senior marketing manager for Coca-Cola East and Central Africa (ECAF), said the activation is designed to connect with consumers during peak travel periods.

"ZITF week is one of the busiest travel periods in Zimbabwe, and Minute Maid is showing up where our consumers need us most," she said.

"By supporting their journey with a free toll pass and the refreshing taste of Minute Maid, we are helping make everyday travel more enjoyable."

The initiative forms part of a broader consumer engagement strategy by Schweppes Zimbabwe Limited and The Coca-Cola Company, aimed at strengthening brand visibility through direct interaction with customers.

The Coca-Cola Company operates in more than 200 countries and territories, offering a wide portfolio of beverages that includes sparkling drinks, water and fruit juices.

The Tollgate Happy Hour campaign underscores a growing trend among brands to create experiential marketing initiatives that align with key national events and high-traffic periods.
