FBC has reaffirmed its commitment to elite sport by announcing its continued title sponsorship of the FBC Zimbabwe Open Golf Championship, marking five consecutive years of support for the prestigious tournament.
The 2026 edition of the championship will run from May 3 to May 10 and will once again form part of the Sunshine Tour, attracting professional golfers from across the globe. Reigning champion Luis Carrera is expected to return to defend his title.
The prize purse for this year's tournament has been set at US$200,000, underscoring the event's growing stature on the regional golf calendar.
Speaking at a press briefing, FBC chief executive officer Trynos Kufazvinei said the sponsorship reflects the organisation's long-term investment in sport development and the steady rise of the tournament since FBC came on board.
"We are glad to be part of this year's FBC Zimbabwe Open Golf Championship. The tournament has grown in leaps and bounds since we came on board five years ago," he said.
The Zimbabwe Open remains one of the country's premier golfing events, serving as both a competitive platform for local professionals and a gateway for international talent on the Sunshine Tour circuit.
