At the close of trade market turnover reached $4.2 million (US$0.27 million) with 6.2 million shares traded in 123 trades. Retail stock OKZim drew the highest trades with 17 worth $376k as it gained 7.9% to close at 65.18 cents. Delta drew the highest value traded at $1.8 million in 13 trades.
On the other blue chip counters; British American Tobacco closed unchanged at $50 (US$3.27) with no trades, Cassava drew 13 trades worth $344k, Econet drew six trades valued at $282k, Innscor closed 0.02% lower at $3.0993 (US$0.20) in ten trades worth $280k and National Foods closed unchanged at $9 (US$0.59) with no activity.
For the dual listed counters; Old Mutual shed 0.05% to close at $34 (US$2.22) in one trade worth $34k, PPC drew two trades valued at $36.9k and SeedCo International added 0.2% to close at $2.7575 (US$0.18) in one trade worth $41.4k.
The All Share and Industrials Indices both closed 0.03% lower at 233.30 and 778.87 respectively. The Top 10 Index lost 0.55% to close at 217.61 while the Minings Index was unchanged at 278.28.
Retail stock Medtech led the top gainers with a 38.5% rise to close at 0.72 cents in one trade worth $720. Real estate stock Mashonaland closed 20% higher at 6.96 cents in one trade worth $98.9k. Clothing and apparel retailer/manufacturer Truworths gained 19.8% to close at 2.42 cents. Retail stock Powerspeed added 14.5% to close at 32.05 cents. Insurance group First Mutual gained 14.3% to close at 24 cents
Dual listed PPC led the top fallers with a 16.4% loss to close at $3.5433 (US$0.23). Consumer stock Simbisa lost 2.35% to close at $1.4432 (US$0.09). Econet closed 2.3% lower at $3.75 (US$0.12) and Delta dropped 1.2% to settle at $3.75 (US$0.25). Tech stock Cassava shed 0.6% to close at $1.5805 (US$0.10).
