We are looking for a suitable candidate to join our team in the capacity of EFSVL Coordinator.

About this position:
The purpose of this job is complementing and supporting the Humanitarian Programme Manager (HPM) on EFSVL and DRR strategy development and implementation, ensuring integration of EFSVL and markets work in both emergency responses and longer-term programmes. The incumbent will also be involved in advocacy and influencing in addition to their project management responsibilities. They will work closely with programme colleagues to develop good linkages and strategic plans related to Oxfam's humanitarian, preparedness, recovery and developmental programme elements, and take part in the strategic reviews of the JCAS and other country strategic planning.

The coordinator will also complement and support the Humanitarian Programme Coordinator on EFSVL and DRR strategy development and implementation, ensuring integration of EFSVL and markets work in both emergency responses and longer-term programmes.

What We Are Looking For:

    A minimum level of a Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline, for example, Disaster Management,  Development Studies and/or Natural Sciences
    A minimum of 3 years Field experience in Food Security & Livelihoods, and Disaster Risk Management, Emergency and Development Programme Management, preferably with Non-Governmental Organizations and a good understanding of relevant humanitarian and Disaster Risk Management Policy issues.
    Proven experience of managing and implementing programmes in cash, vouchers, agriculture and food.
    A good knowledge of market assessment and analysis and a market based response, and a willingness to engage with wider global initiatives on markets.
    Sound knowledge and ability to apply NGO/Red Cross Code of Conduct, the People in Aid Code, SPHERE, the Good Enough Guide, Humanitarian Accountability Principles and Oxfam International procedures and other regulatory codes.
    In depth understanding of nutrition and food security related issues in humanitarian and development including FSL assessment & surveillance, food aid distribution and alternatives such as cash, social protection, markets analysis, nutrition and disaster risk reduction approaches.
    Proven experience in analyzing food security situations and translating into programming and advocacy.
