Mzingwane High School has officially opened a state-of-the-art e-library, marking a major step towards modernising learning and research in Matabeleland South.

The facility, part of the school's ongoing digital transformation strategy, is equipped with 20 desktop computers and ergonomic furniture, providing students and teachers with a dedicated space to develop 21st-century skills.

School Development Committee chairperson Mandlenkosi Sinyoro described the e-library as a "milestone achievement."

"This marks a new chapter for our school," Sinyoro said. "This digital library will technologically empower our children and move us towards transformative learning."

He highlighted that the hub shifts focus from traditional methods to modern approaches that foster critical thinking, innovation, and independent research.

The e-library was officially commissioned by Umzingwane legislator Levy Mayihlome. Sinyoro noted that the initiative also aligns with national efforts to establish community information centres and bridge the digital divide in rural and peri-urban areas.

"This digital library is not just a school asset but a community resource," he said. "We believe it will be a game-changer in improving pass rates and building essential digital literacy."

The school administration plans to expand digital learning further, including access to online resources, e-books, and national educational platforms, ensuring students are well-prepared for the demands of a modern learning environment.
