Outgoing Tourism and Hospitality Industry Minister Walter Mzembi has expressed confidence that Zimbabwe and Zambia will successfully co-host the 20th United Nations World Tourism Organisation General Assembly scheduled to kick off this Friday.
Zimbabwe is spending more than $12 million to ensure the event matches international standards, said the minister.
The two countries will co-host the meeting in Victoria Falls and Livingstone from August 24 to 29. Mzembi told Zimbabwean and Zambian journalists at a briefing on Victoria Falls' state of preparedness here yesterday that Zimbabwe was geared to ensuring a successful General Assembly.
