The Zimbabwe Energy Council believes the forthcoming Africa Energy Indaba may unlock opportunities for the country to attract foreign investors to bankroll its $5.8 billion power generation projects.
Participation at the conference, to be held in South Africa next week, comes as the country - facing a massive power deficit - tries to partner regional power utilities and private investors in energy generation.
ZEC's spokesperson Panganayi Sithole said independent energy producers are expected to benefit from learning on other forms of renewable energy projects that are cost effective as well as opportunities to form partnerships.
