Zimbabweans living in the Diaspora will now be able to call back home at much cheaper rates following the launch of the first Zimbabwean cloud-based phone company to successfully deliver mobile consumer VoIP service over the Internet.

Zimfon was recently launched at the Zimexpo in Dallas, Texas, setting a new revolution in the way that Zimbabweans in the Diaspora call home.

Zimfon offers its subscribers a cross platform Softphone App free of charge which provides a traditional telephone interface.

What is unique about this application over other common marketplace apps is that it allows a user to call any phone number in Zimbabwe, landlines included, without the need for IP connectivity for the receiving Zimbabwe end.
