Deals in Econet helps Industrials rebound

Industrials recovered from yesterday's losses largely on gains in 7 counters which cancelled out losses in 3 counters while 18 remained stable at previous levels.

The Industrials recovered a marginal 0.13 points or 0.06% to 212.84 as heavyweights Delta, Innscor and OK Zimbabwe traded unchanged at 150c, 90c and 22.05c respectively. Meanwhile, blue chip Econet remained stable at 63c.

Minings Index dropped a marginal 0.01 points or 0.02% to 46.36 as Bindura traded unchanged at 2.2c.

Total market turnover dropped to $2,874 million on a volume of 17.52 million shares with Econet trading in transactions worth

$2.252 million on a volume of 3.575 million shares. Meanwhile, yesterday's daily turnover was $7,096 million on a volume of 43.83 million shares.

Turnall led the top risers on the board, advancing 0.50c or 11.11% to 5c amid reports that, FBC Holdings has shelved plans to sell its 49% stake in the roofing and building products manufacturer, Tumall Holdings Limited

Other top gainers, ZHL gained 0.16c or 10.67% to 1.66c while DZHL added 1c or 7.69% to 14c. ZPI picked up 0.05c or 4% to 1.3c with Imara executing a special bargain of $10 million shares in the counter at 1.4c with a value of $159 533. TSL gained 1c or 2.78% to 37c.

Other notable risers, bankers CBZ added 0.40c or 0.14% to 15.4c and Aico Africa gained a marginal 0.01c or 0.14% to 7.01c.

Zimplow Holdings led the top fallers, shedding 1.1c or 26.83% to 3c in the work of reports that a total of 4.5% Zimplow Holdings shares were offloaded yesterday on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange after an investor foreclosed on a debt owed by Tetrad Holdings.

African Sun dropped 0.10c or 3.57% to 2.7c while Seedco eased 2c or 2.22% to 88c.

The Datvest All Share Index closed marginally firmer after adding 0.07 points or 0.05% at 142.12 and the FBC ZSE-10 Index dropped 0.13 points or 0.08% at 149.03.

The Insurance Index was the top riser adding 2.03 ports or 1.72% at 119.74 on the back of a 10.67% gain by ZHL

On the losing end the Tourism Index lost 0.48 points or 1.62% % to close at 29.46 as African Sun dropped 3.57% in today's trades.
