INGWEBU Breweries expects to increase sales volumes during the Soccer World Cup, which kicks off in Brazil this month.

ingwebu-cratesThe Bulawayo City Council's commercial undertaking says its sales could increase by 15% by the end of August this year.

As part of the initiative, Ingwebu on Friday launched "Kwejisa Lathi Winter Promotion" that will end in August.

Ingwebu Breweries general manager Prince Ndlovu said the main objective was to provide retail outlets with adequate stocks ahead of the soccer showpiece.

"We are aware that we need to adequately store our retail branches and those that are run by franchasies so that our clients always get products that they want which are of high quality," he said.

Ndlovu said to ensure that Ingwebu's retail branches were always well stocked, the company had taken advantage of new technology tools such as sms, WhatsApp and e-mail to connect with customers and suppliers.

"We will use all channels that will facilitate proper communication between us and our retailers so that our customers do not run out of their favourite products," he said.

"We will use sms, WhatsApp and landlines, among various forms of communication."

Ingwebu urged businesspeople leasing its outlets to help in turning around some of the old facilities so that they appeal to their clients.

"The franchisor must be innovate in terms of product and service development, and the franchisees must also research into the service updates around us as well as making suggestions as to how we could transform these rather old facilities into customer-friendly leisure centres and communicate their suggestions to management, without fear," Ndlovu said.

"Ingwebu Kwejisa Lathi Winter Promotion will run in 47 outlets spread across our western suburbs and forms of publicity have been put forward by the company's marketing team."

Various prizes will be up for grabs and the promotion will see clients walking away with different prizes during the mini draws right up to the grand draw.
