Precious Mabuza, Chief Executive Officer of FS Mining, has donated US$50,000 towards the upcoming ZANU PF 22nd National People's Conference, set to take place in Mutare, Manicaland Province, from 13 to 18 October 2025.

The donation was made during a ceremony held at ZANU PF Headquarters in Harare on Monday, 6 October, and was confirmed by the party's Treasurer General, Patrick Chinamasa.

Mabuza, who is the daughter of the late David Dabede Mabuza, former Deputy President of South Africa (2018–2023), was accompanied by her brother David Mabuza Jnr, FS Mining's Operations Executive Officer, Sepadi Thobejang, the company's Communications Officer, and Marimira, the Zimbabwe Resident Officer.

According to Chinamasa, FS Mining is a South African-registered company involved in chrome mining in the Zvishavane area and operates a minerals refinery in South Africa. The firm also plans to set up a chrome washing plant in Zimbabwe before the end of 2025, with a smelting plant project expected to follow.

Speaking during the handover, Mabuza said the donation was a gesture of appreciation for President Emmerson Mnangagwa's investment policy, which she said promotes friendship and inclusivity.

"Our contribution is a token of gratitude for His Excellency's declaration that Zimbabwe is not only open for business but is also a friend to all and an enemy to none," Mabuza said.

Meanwhile, the government recently directed companies and institutions to contribute financially to the ruling party's annual conference. A letter dated 28 September 2025, signed by Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution Misheck Mugadza, instructed stakeholders to contribute at least US$3,000 each by 2 October.

The letter, issued on official government letterhead following a provincial fundraising meeting, stated that the contributions were mandatory, drawing mixed reactions from business operators and civil society groups over the blending of state and party interests.
