Innscor Africa Limited has dispelled claims that it wants to relocate to Mauritius where the company has been in operation for over 16 years.

Innscor group chief executive officer John Koumides told journalists at the company's EGM in Harare on Friday that the company has no plans of relocation.

"We are not going to relocate to Mauritius or Kenya, Zambia or any other regional country as previously reported, we have got operations in these countries already," he said.

However, Koumides said the company would continue to deal with Mauritius in a bid to access off shore funding for capital projects.

Meanwhile, Innscor has invested at least $1 million into contract grain farming.

Its chief executive, John Koumides, on Friday said the company has engaged farmers to plant 4 000 hectares of maize, among other grains to be supplied to the group's milling and stock feeds subsidiary, National Foods Limited.

He said the group was spending between $200 and $300 per hectare.
