ONE of Zimbabwe leading financial institutions, CBZ Bank will be phasing out the use of cash withdrawal slips with effect from the beginning of next month.
In a statement, the bank said individual clients would only be able to make cash withdrawal transactions through Automated Teller Machines (ATM).
"We advise our valued customers that CBZ will be phasing out the use of manual cash withdrawal slips by individual clients from banking halls," read the statement.
The phasing out of the use of cash withdrawal slips is with effect from March 1, 2014. It said this was aimed at improving service provision and minimising risk to its clients.
CBZ said all cash transactions would be effected using an ATM card and clients would be able to make their transactions from different cash points.
"The transactions will be effected through electronic cards on CBZ ATM machines, Branch POS machines, CBZ in store ATM machines, Merchant POS machines as cash back and other ZimSwitch platforms," said CBZ, urging all its clients without ATM cards to apply for them without delay.
"We therefore request clients without ATM cards to visit the nearest CBZ branch before February 22, to apply for their ATM card," it said.
