Published: 26 February 2014
Old Mutual, will for the second successive year, be a major sponsor of the Harare International Festival of Arts (HIFA).

The sponsorship will see the final and most popular day of HIFA named as Old Mutual Day. Old Mutual Group chief  executive officer Jonas Mushosho, said his organisation would continuously seek ways of contributing towards the development of the arts and culture industry in Zimbabwe.

"Following our memorable and highly successful partnership with HIFA last year, Old Mutual is once again proud to be associated with the continent's premier arts festival in 2014," said Mushosho.

"Old Mutual is deeply committed to the development of our arts and culture industry. This year we entered into a relationship with the National Arts Merit Awards that were held in Bulawayo just over a week ago. In addition, in 2013 we invested into a theatre, the Old Mutual Theatre Alliance Francaise, where artists can come and perform without incurring high charges for the venue.

"As the country's leading integrated financial services group, with interests in savings, investments, property, life and general insurance Old Mutual takes seriously its contribution towards social development. Our business is deeply etched in Zimbabwean society, having been around for over 110 years."

Old Mutual Zimbabwe Limited is an integrated financial services group covering savings, investment, insurance and banking. It is a member of the London-based Old Mutual Plc.
