Zimbabwe's 2013 gold deliveries went down 6.02% to 12 663.39kg from 13 474.43kg in 2012.

In a January 2014 monthly economic review, the African Development Bank (AfDB) said the 2013 output was way below projected 17 000kg.

However, its figures significantly differ from those released by Treasury.

Finance minister Patrick Chinamasa, announced last year that gold production in the first 11 months of 2013 totalled 12 900kg.
