Zimbabwe Development Party (ZDP) president, Kisinoti Munodei Mukwazhi has dragged global telecommunication giant Econet Wireless to the High Court seeking $500 000 in damages for loss of business due to unauthorised deductions of Ecosure premiums.

Mukwazhi claims that Econet Wireless without consulting him started deducting US$1 from his Ecocash account.

He added that he is on the roaming facility and whilst in South Africa he failed to make a business call because Ecosure had unlawfully deducted a dollar from him leading him to lose a potential business transaction.

He seeks payment to the tune of $500 000 as compensation for loss of business and cost of the suit.

Finally, the daring bogus cops who set up a fake road block near state house have been jailed.

Martin Ndoorwi was handed 6 effective years for robbery and kidnapping, while Innocent Pamire and Joel Paradzayi where each handed 5 effective years imprisonment.
