Caledonia Mining Corporation said Monday that it had seen increases in gold production from its 49%-owned subsidiary  Blanket Mine in Zimbabwe during the third quarter.

In the third quarter ended September 30, 12,042 ounces of gold were produced, in increase of 3.9% from 11,588 ounces in the same period the previous year.

Total gold production for the nine months was 34,103 ounces, a 1.4% increase from 33,643 ounces in the previous year. Caledonia Mining has a 49% stake in the Blanket Mine.

The company said its gold production for the quarter is subject to minor revisions following the receipt of final assays from the refinery.
